Softwired Executive Biographies

Dr. Henry Wild CFA
CEO, Sales

Dr. Wild has a wealth of experience in business management including successfully leading a biotechnology firm ‘IMT’ to market in 1985. He held various positions in sales, marketing, treasury, finance and strategy. Recent experience included consulting to a number of technology startups prior to joining Softwired. Dr. Wild is also Chairman of the Softwired Board. He holds an MBA in Finance, CFA and Ph.D. in Business Administration from Henley Management College. Dr. Wild currently coordinates Strategic Business Development.

Mr. Volker J. Brenner
Director of Finance and Administration

Prior to joining Softwired as Director of Operations and Finance, Mr. Brenner worked for 4 years in the telecommunications industry where he was involved in the spin-off and development of a company. Having held various positions in the finance area, he was also previously involved in restructuring projects within a Swiss bank. He has in-depth experience in developing companies and taking them through various stages of their growth process. Mr. Brenner graduated as a Diplom-Kaufmann (MBA equivalent) from the University of Padderborn in 1992. His background is Finance and Organisational Development.

Mr. Mike Wilson
Director of Product Management

Mr. Wilson brings with him a wealth of professional experience, mainly in the wireless telecommunication industry. In his previous post his main responsibilities included managing a software house focused on the telecommunication network operators in the Asia Pacific region, with offices in Hong Kong, Malaysia and China. His main responsibilities included developing and giving technical direction for wireless application production, as well consulting for the group. He began his career as a Software Engineer and was latter promoted Program Manager at Momentum Internet Ltd. Setting up production locations in Manila, bringing e-commerce solutions to market, such as an online trading system, allowing customers to seamlessly trade in Asia, the US and the UK. He latter moved to Hong Kong where he held the position of Managing Director within the Chinatron Group, a Mobile Data Operator (Mobitex). Mike Wilson graduated with a Bachelor of Computing from Lincoln University in 1996, a Telecommunications Trade Certification from Telecom New Zealand in 1989 and has conducted postgraduate studies in visualisation and simulation with computer graphics.

Softwired Executive Biographies

Mr. Paul Giotta
Director of Server Technology

Mr. Giotta is responsible for the development of server based messaging systems at Softwired. He has been at Softwired since May 2000 and brings a wealth of experience in leading software development projects and deploying mission critical systems. Before coming to Softwired he worked for the consulting firm Cambridge Technology Partners, where he led the development of web based applications for several multinational customers. Prior to that he led the Market Data Services Group at Olsen & Associates. Mr Giotta played a critical role in the development of a high performance, messaging-based trading system used at Credit Suisse First Boston. Having a strong background in mathematics, Mr. Giotta was also active in the development of algorithms used at Credit Suisse for fixed-income trading, as well as the implementation of these algorithms and their integration into several mission critical trading systems. Before moving to from the US to Switzerland in 1991, Mr. Giotta led research and prototype development projects in the field of advanced military radar systems. Being a very broad field, this required skills in the areas of advanced mathematics, hardware development and software development, including the development and programming of embedded computer systems. Mr. Giotta obtained a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1986 and Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH) in 1993.

Mr. Rupal Majmudar
Director of Mobile Technology

Mr. Majmudar is the Software Architect and Technical Lead for the iBus//Mobile product. Prior to joining Softwired, Mr. Majmudar has worked extensively in the field of Object-Oriented Technologies and Architectures using Java and Smalltalk, in various roles from developer to system architect. Since his move to Zurich in 1995, he has been involved in large-scale software projects at Credit Suisse, and in the development of the Ultra-Light Client (ULC) product at UBS and OTI. Before this, he was with Citicorp Software (now iFlex Solutions) in India, working through the entire software life-cycle for large financial products, right from design and development, up to on-site implementation, support and customer training. Mr.Majmudar has done his B.Tech in Electrical Engg. from the Indian Institute of Technology (Mumbai, India) in 1989, and has a Masters degree from the same institute in 1991, in the field of Digital Communications and Image Processing.
